The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) is an international organization founded in 1994 that promotes responsible forest management—environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable—through a globally recognized certification system.In France, the national FSC office, established in 2007, supports the development of certification, which today covers more than 123,000 hectares and 980 certified companies.Our mission: to engage with stakeholders on the topic of responsible forest management, explain the key issues surrounding certification, and amplify their voices in the public debate.
